Stars cannot shine without darkness Puneet Raman Sharing my personal and professional journey with learning's from failed attempts in higher education, first sales job and as a first time team manager. Using darkness of failed attempts to introspect and improve my next attempt. To not give up in face of dejection, failure, customer rejection and peer pressure. You're the driver of your mind Puneet Raman Sharing my experience while travelling in a bus from Providence to NY, of how our mind is like a car and we are its driver. If we can control our mind, we can reach our goals and destination in better shape and in a reasonable time. I have compared mindfulness amidst the social media pressure in our lives, the importance and value of staying focused on completing one task at a time Published on prowisdom.in and LinkedIn Thursday, June 11, 2015
Congratulations.....you've been promoted Puneet Raman Sharing the value of real promotion, a self awareness of valuing small progress and celebrating it. Valuing our efforts rather than waiting for others to give us so called social tag or public recognition as an official promotion. We need to be self aware of our value, our strengths and should give more value and attention to people who support us, while being on pursuit of achieving so called official promotion. The real promotion is in advancement of our thought process, our ability to add value to some else, apart from our own self. Published on prowisdom.in and LinkedIn Tuesday, June 30, 2015
3 Lessons from my Lifeline Puneet Raman Shared the three learning's of my life drawn out of a lifeline which was told to us at Columbia Business School (June 2015). We prepared the journey of our life to uncover events, people, places and incidents which made a strong impact on our thought process and in our life. I learnt about the value of integrity; the importance of valuing my life partner and the value of education through analyzing my journey. Learning to win over myself Puneet Raman Shared a life changing experience in Aug 2012, which helped me discover a bit of myself. Its so easy to guide, motivate, inspire and direct others whereas i have failed multiple times when i've tried to motivate myself to improve my health (with all the excuses), becoming a more People person (meeting new people), Strengthening Relationships with people beyond my circle of friends & family (citing excuses of time), Leaving out Opportunities (beyond my comfort zone). Ultimately, i connected the dots in April 2015 to an event in Aug 2012. Its all about leading ourselves first. Published on prowisdom.in and LinkedIn
Why should i " Do it now " ? Puneet Raman As an entrepreneur, i'm confronted with this question multiple times " why should i do it now ". The loneliness of the startup journey is tough to handle, however i'm managing myself well till now. Setting time bound goals, business vision, business purpose document helps in time of utter confusion and frustration. Having a mentor helps to reflect and reassess the parameters of success beyond the financial metrics, which a fellow Toastmaster guided me basis his experience. Taking a break, is critical for not becoming obsessed with a goal impacting my mental and physical health, as we need to rejuvenate and come back fresh. Published on prowisdom.in and LinkedIn
