Business Analytics
About the Program

There is a distinct move towards Management by Facts as opposed to Management by Instincts.

Due to extensive digitisation, tons of data about consumer preferences and buying behaviour is getting generated every day. Given that every click, every swipe and every search can now be recorded, it is obvious that we build data models over this very large set of data to draw accurate and valid conclusions. With cheaper storage and faster computing, we can quickly analyse this data to forecast future results based on our past performance. That is primarily Business Analytics.

This course provides a comprehensive coverage of the types of Business Analytics, the stages in a typical Business Analytics project, analyse some of the famous real world success stories where data was used to radically transform business operations, study the diverse applications across Industries and Domains by using Predictive and/or Prescriptive Analytics.

Additionally, the course contains illustrations of using technology to solve business problems. Based on specific needs, the module can be customised to include introductory course material on SPSS, R, Python – technologies which are radically changing the way organisations are implementing Analytics solutions.
